Hi, I’m Claire.

Yoga and meditation have been with me for as long as I can remember. I was introduced to yoga as an infant, a gift that helped me navigate early childhood trauma and became a quiet cornerstone in my life. I grew up in a humble home where books from the public library were my greatest adventure. On much-anticipated semiweekly visits, I found myself drawn to philosophy and meditation, passions that stayed with me through my teenage years and beyond.

Like many of us, my practice ebbed and flowed. But after the sudden death of my brother, while I was serving in the United States Marine Corps, and following the very difficult birth of my first child, I returned to meditation, and eventually to asana, as a lifeline. It became a way to manage PTSD and to reconnect with my own life.

Over time, the anxiety attacks, depression, and migraines became easier to manage, but the transformation didn’t stop there. Through practice, life stopped feeling like something to survive and became something to celebrate. Long-held hurts gave way to forgiveness, to joy, to presence. That’s the magic I now feel called to share.

My Teaching Journey

I started teaching public classes in 2010 after completing three 200-hour trainings in Vinyasa and Integrative Yoga. Since then, I’ve earned two 500-hour certifications that included training in Ayurveda, Tantra, and the intersection of yoga and psychology. In 2020, I completed a 300-hour Master Training in Himalayan Sattva Yoga with Anand Mehrotra.

I’ve been training teachers since 2012 and created 12 Sparrows Yoga School in 2018. Today, I offer 200- and 300-hour teacher trainingsĀ on a pay-what-you-can basisĀ because I believe this work should be accessible to anyone called to it, not just those who can afford it.

Service, Outreach, and Speaking

In 2016, I received an Ambassador grant from Lululemon to travel the U.S. for four months, leading Trauma-Informed Outreach training with Connection Coalition, a nonprofit bringing yoga to marginalized communities. I’ve also worked with Connected Warriors, offering yoga and meditation to fellow veterans and their families.

Since 2018, I have led dedicated trauma-informed care and resilience-focused trainings with one of the leading regional healthcare systems, supporting professionals who serve primarily Medicaid recipients. I continue to speak and teach on mindfulness, trauma, and yoga as tools for healing and offer similar training to theĀ broader community locally and online.

I’ve had the honor of leading yoga and meditation at retreats worldwide and at special events, including Oprah Winfrey’s Life You Want Weekend Tour.

Where I Am Now

I’m currently based in Charlotte, North Carolina, offering private sessions in yoga, meditation, mind-body integration, existential coaching, transformational trainings, workshops, and retreats. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology (2024) and am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, deepening my capacity to support people with both heart and evidence-informed skills. My journey has taken me all over the world, from my native Miami to Montana, Japan, Jamaica, India, Mexico, Peru, and many places in between.

With over 8,000 hours of teaching experience, I bring both credentials and perspective, a blend of spiritual grounding and real-life tools. I specialize in guiding people toward personal empowerment and global consciousness through mind-body-spirit integration. My approach is rooted in universal spiritual teachings and made accessible, grounded, and often even fun.

I’m so grateful to be walking this path with you. ą„
